Updated: 11/14/08 6:48 AM The Buffalo Rugby Club’s Division 3 team will host the Brooklyn Barons in the first round of the Northeast Rugby Union playoffs at Delaware Park at 1 p. m. Saturday. The Buffalo-Brooklyn winner advances to the NERU final four in Rochester, where the champion advances to the national Sweet 16 in the spring.

Updated: 11/11/08 7:22 AM The following officials were re-elected to NYS Association of Certified Football Officials Board of Directors: Matt Palma, first vice president, Mike Binkowski, second vice president and directors Jim Craig, Paul Gagliardi and Bruce Hoffman. New York State Service Awards were presented to Hoffman and Dale Mussen. Forty-year service awards were presented to Tom Wright, Ron Ritter, Pat Dempsey and Gagliardi. A 30-year service award was presented to Paul Wzontek. Don Burns 20-year service awards were presented to: Hoffman, Mike Roberts, Mark Schrantz, Ed Turkasz, Dan Finucane and Craig. The Richard Leous Service Award was presented to Ron Ritter.
