International bridges expected to fill up for the holiday weekend

The time to dodge heavy traffic at the area's international bridges this busy travel weekend is long before you're ready to cross them.
Fourth of July holiday travelers can avoid the worst of the tie-ups by checking ahead for traffic conditions, border officials say.
"We strongly suggest anyone who's going to cross check the wait times at all the bridges," said Kevin Corsaro, public affairs officer for Customs and Border Protection.
Several Web sites offer road-trippers updated traffic conditions, including www.peacebridge.com, niagarafallsbridges.com, and www.nittec.org.
Or call (800) 715-6722, the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission's toll-free line with hourly updates.
Bridge volumes began to pick up this afternoon, and are expected to be greater than the Independence Day holiday last year...
